Memorial Day Message

My Brothers,

This is the time of the year when most lodges have their elections of officers and we look to the summer months activities. I am a firm believer that our lodges do not go dark. They just go outside!

We will be celebrating Memorial Day on May 27th, Flag Day on June 14th, and then, Independence Day on July 4th. Let these days all remind us what it means to be an American and live in this wonderful country. Remember all those who gave so much to keep these liberties among us.

For those who attended our Grand Lodge Session you felt the Patriotism permeate the Grand Lodge Room as we honored Sgt and Brother Bill Hoover. A true War Hero. His story will be highlighted in our next Empire State Magazine.

On behalf of myself, Nancy, our Deputy Grand Master R∴W∴ Richard J. Kessler and Joanne, and the entire elected and appointed members of the Grand Line and their ladies, your local District Deputies, Staff Officers, Assistant Grand Lecturers and their ladies, as well as the Worshipful Masters and officers of each lodge in our jurisdiction, we wish for you’re a safe and pleasant time as we celebrate together.

As always, let us implore the Great Architect of the Universe protect the members of our Armed Forces, and our brave Police, Firefighters, and other First Responders as they are protecting us, wherever in the country and around world they may be serving, and bring them back home to their families and friends healthy and safely!

Sincerely and fraternally,

MW William M. Sardone
Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York
